The Attorney General Office (AGO) is among the key criminal justice administration institutions with the constitutional mandate to ensure respect for the law, protection of the rights of the citizens and for the prosecution of crimes. However, the office experienced the destruction of both its institutional systems and infrastructure during civil war, negatively affecting its functionality and ability to uphold the rule of law and protect the rights of the citizens. Against this backdrop, the AGO is in the restructuring process of transforming this institution both Benadir, and other regional administrations across Somalia for the rebuilding of key institutional structures and systems that determine the performance of the AGO across the board.


A modern, professional office that ensures the security of the Somali nation and safety of its citizens, protects the rights guaranteed to all, and conducts itself, in all ways, with integrity and fidelity to the law.


A professional, independent Office of the Attorney General that establishes and ensures the rule of law for Somalia and all of its citizens by fairly and impartially assisting in the investigation of criminal cases, prosecuting those committed of crime before the Somali courts, protecting the dignity of human rights of all Somali citizens, including those accused of crimes, safeguarding the victims of crimes, participating on behalf of the Attorney General in civil court cases that affect the public interest, and overseeing the Somali prison system.

Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation (MOAI)

The Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation (MOA) (Somali: Wasaaradda Beeraha iyo Waraabka) is a ministry responsible for Agriculture in Somalia. The three broad areas of scope for the Ministry are agriculture, food processing and co-operation.

The agricultural sector plays a crucial role in ensuring food security, job creation, income generation and foreign exchange earnings in Somalia. The common feature in the structure of the economy of the three sub-entities of Somalia is the predominance of agriculture and livestock in the economy and livelihoods, accounting for about 70% of the GDP and employment. Livestock accounts for about 40% of GDP and more than 50% of export earnings. Other main products include fish, charcoal, bananas, sugar, sorghum and corn.

Ministry of Finance (MoF)


The Ministry of Finance is the central authority of the Federal Government of Somalia charged with the responsibilities devising and administering economic and financial policy of the country. Moreover, the key role of the Ministry lies with the more rationale allocation of resources; better management of public expenditure; enhanced mobilization of both internal and external resources; greater performance in public investments and strengthening of public enterprises productive capacity; open and simple foreign exchange policies and regulation, and prudent fiscal and monetary policies.

Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation (MOTCA)


Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation is in charge of the entire transport sector including civil aviation, has overall responsibility for policy making and regulatory framework.

Port of Mogadishu (MAP)


In September 2014, state owned, Mogadishu Port have been least to Albayrak Group for 30 years. All operating and managerial rights of the port is secured under Albayrak management. After taking over the port’s management, security measures of the port have been increased and enabled local workers to be employed safely and have steady income. The Eswatini Communications Commission (ESCCOM) is the regulatory body responsible for regulating the communications sector in Eswatini, constituting of telecommunication services and networks, broadcasting services, postal services and the use and allocation of radio spectrum. It derives its mandate from the Swaziland Communications Commission Act 2013, the Electronic Communications Act 2009 and the Electronic Communications (Importation, Type Approval and Distribution of Communications Equipment) Regulations. Through the various legal documents ESCCOM is responsible for issuing the Permit for Re- Exportation of Communications Equipment, The Electronic Communications License, as well as the issuing the approval Electronic Communications Equipment Approval Certificate, amongst other things.
