NAME, PURPOSE, GENEALOGY, EXTENSION AND POWER LAW

ARTICLE 1

NAME OF THE LAW

 This law is called the “Somali Standards and Quality Control law”

ARTICLE 2

PURPOSE OF THE LAW

The purpose of Somali the Standards and quality control law is;

1. To develop the National Standards and Quality Policy, and to cover the requirements for standards, measurements, inspections and product quality assurance.

2. To Guide by quality control regulations goods and services, such as those importing or exporting and those locally produced or used.

3. To protect the well-being of the person or society, medically and financially;

4. To establish a Somali Quality Assurance Agency; and

5. To ensure the user's safety and security, and creates confidence in the quality of imported goods, one by one both exports and locally produced crops.
