SOMALI INDUSTRIAL PROPERTY JOURNALĀ 

Summary

The Industrial Development Department of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry has published the first Somali Industrial Property Journal. Publication of this Journal is provided under the Trade Mark Law No. 3 of 22 nd January 1955, As Amendment by Law No. 33, of 18 January, 1975, and Law No. 3, of December 1987. This Journal is published monthly by the Ministry as part of the procedures for protection of industrial property rights.

The Industrial Property Journal is the Official Journal of the Department of Industrial Development to the Ministry of Commerce & Industry. NOTICE: Is given that any person who has grounds of opposition to the Registration of any of the Industrial Property advertised herein according to these classes may within 35 days make his /her opposition from 01/03/2022 to 05/04/2022

INID CODES

INID is an acronym for ‘Internationally agreed Numbers for the Identification of (bibliographic) Data’. The codes are used on the first page of industrial property documents and in gazettes to identify the bibliographic data without knowledge of the language used and the industrial property laws applied. The following INID codes are used in this Journal:

I. ACCEPTED MARKS

NOTICE is given that any person who has grounds of opposition to the Registration of any of the trademarks advertised herein according to these classes may within thirty five (35) days from the date of this Journal, The period of lodging the notice of opposition may be extended by the Ministry as he deems fit and upon such terms as he may direct. Any request for such extension should be made to the Ministry to reach him before the expiry of the period allowed.
